Class of 2027 · Newton Grammar School, Hanoi
Hi, I'm Bao Nam.A builder and roboticist: I turn math, robotics and AI into technology people actually use — and I build it for those the tech world usually leaves out.
From Olympiad mathematics and a VEX Robotics World finalist to shipping real AI systems: AvaB, an ed-tech venture with paying students and a team I lead, and EduVision-AI, which lets visually impaired students learn from ordinary textbooks. Across every project the goal is the same — turn hard STEM into something that reaches the people technology usually forgets.

AvaB
The ed-tech venture I founded
The throughline
One line connects all of it: I build technology for the people it usually leaves out — and I lead by staying, not by title.
Flagship Projects
Two products, one belief
Education and opportunity can change the direction of a life.
The turning point
AvaB taught me how to build educational technology at scale. EduVision-AI taught me that scale means little if the people who need technology most are still left behind.

A personal note
“Nam did not inherit his father's hardship. He inherited the responsibility to remember it.”
My father grew up with very little in our home province. I did not live that childhood, and I am careful never to borrow his hardship as my own story. What I did inherit is a clear-eyed sense that I now enjoy opportunities his generation did not have.
In my own words
What I'm still thinking about
Community Commitment
Seven years completed. Ten-year commitment.
From giving a gift on a single day, toward creating opportunity that can change years of a person's life.
7 yrs
7 years completed — four community programs, run every year.
10-Year Commitment
- Keep the Tết and Mid-Autumn programs running on a clear, published schedule.
- Grow the education fund with transparent criteria and long-term tracking.
- Build a student successor team so the programs do not depend on any one person.
- Connect service with technology classes, mentoring, AvaB or EduVision-AI where it genuinely fits.
Two Pillars
Learning by Building. Leading by Serving.
A student, builder, and community leader who learns by creating technology and leads through long-term service.
Academics

Currently Exploring
- Multimodal models for accessible learning
- On-device speech & OCR for low-connectivity classrooms
- Building a student successor team so programs outlast any one person
Philosophy
“From learning to find the answer, to building products, to understanding people, to leading so that opportunity reaches further.”
