About Me

A student, builder, and community leader who learns by creating technology and leads through long-term service.

I fell in love with mathematics because it was fair: a problem had a right answer, and if I was patient enough, I could find it. Competitions gave that love a shape — the national IMSO team in Grade 6, then years of olympiads.

But at some point, winning another medal stopped being the point. I noticed that the questions I cared about most did not come with an answer key. They came from people — a classmate who could not see the board, a teacher with no time to prepare accessible materials.

Learning to code changed what mathematics could be for me: not only something to prove, but something to build. So I moved from being a problem-solver to a problem-finder — and the problems I keep returning to are about access: who gets to learn, and who gets left out.

Listen before building

The first version of an idea is usually about me. The useful version comes from the people I built it for.

Rigor with empathy

Mathematics taught me to be precise. People taught me to be kind about what precision is for.

Keep showing up

Leadership is a promise measured in years, not events — the same programs, run better each time.

Measure honestly

I would rather report a small, real number than a large, invented one.

How I think

Start from the person, not the technology. Define the problem precisely, then build the smallest thing that tests whether I understood it. Measure honestly, and be willing to be wrong in front of the people I am building for.

Beyond the classroom

I lead the Newton Math Club, volunteer at the Zero-Dong Market in my home province, and spend time with students who are blind or have low vision. These are not résumé lines to me — they are where my questions come from.

What I hope to build

AI and robotics that widen access to good education — tools that work in a low-connectivity classroom, describe a diagram to a student who cannot see it, and give a teacher back their evening. I want to study Computer Science and AI to do this well, and responsibly.
